CSX Railroad main line serves the county from Greensboro
to Union Point. Piggyback yards are in Atlanta. Deepwater
ports in Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina.
The Greene
County airport is located 2 miles east of Greensboro, the
5,000 x 75 foot runway, has LOC/DME, DME and NDB. The
FBO sells aviation fuels and provides hangers, pilot lounge
and car rental. A new terminal opened in the spring of 2005.

medical services are provided by the Minnie G Boswell Memorial
Hospital.
The 25 bed hospital is located
in Greensboro. Many doctors and health care professionals
are available in town and south of the Greensboro on Highway

The western border of the county lies on the shoreline of
Lake Oconee. Upscale residential and recreational opportunities
