Through the HOPE scholarship, any child of a Georgia resident who graduates from a Georgia High School and maintains a B average can attend college for free. No other state in the nation offers this advantage to its residents.

 With an enrollment of 2,226, the Greene County school system serves students throughout the 403 square miles of county land. Excellent public and private schools offer the technical resources to meet today's demanding education requirements. College courses are available through the Athens Technical Institute and the University of Georgia, both just 30 minutes away. Higher learning benefits the community by producing educated and productive citizens.
