GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:
Spans 403 square miles of the Piedmont Plateau in Georgia. Greensboro, the county seat, is 75 miles east of Atlanta, 70 miles west of Augusta and 60 miles north of Macon.

CLIMATE & TERRAIN:
Generally mild with a frost-free growing season of about 225 days a year. Summer temperatures often climb above 90 degrees while temperatures below 32 degrees may be expected 50 days a year. Rainfall averages 47 inches per year. Gently rolling hills, mostly wooded.
